"Laminate flooring is a low maintenance, long-lasting flooring. There are several simple steps that you can take to keep your laminate flooring clean and to ensure that you get many years of service from it. Simply dust mop or vacuum with a soft brush or wood floor accessory to keep your laminate floor clean from dust, dirt or grit."

• A damp cloth or mop can be used without damage to the laminate flooring panels, but do not use excessive water. Dry the floor thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.
• Do not use soap-based detergents, abrasive cleaners, or combined "clean and shine"
• Do not wax or polish your laminate flooring.
• Do not steam clean or use chemicals that may damage the laminate flooring surface.

IIC (impact insulation class) is measured in terms of sound impact, or how well sound vibrations travel through a floor to the room below.

"IIC-STC 50 International Building Code has the least impact sound absorption quality. While this may be appropriate for ground floors, it would be unsatisfactory for most on a high floor without a great deal of insulation in the area between the floor and the ceiling below. Most stone and tile will fall into this category."

IIC 60 Superior Sound Proofing indicates a medium impact sound absorption quality and encompasses floorings such as wood, laminates, and some vinyls.

IIC 65 Virtually Sound Proof is a high level of impact sound transmission absorption and includes superior sound reduction materials like carpet and cork.

STC (Sound Transmission Class) is an integer rating of how well a building partition attenuates airborne sound.

40 Loud speech can be heard, but not understood

60+ At this level, good soundproofing begins. Neighbors generally are not disturbed by very loud speech from inside.

"AC stands for Abrasion Criteria. It means products have been tested for durability for abrasion, impact resistance. The rating generally is from AC1 to AC5 but there are AC6 products as well. They can be divided into both residential and commercial pplication. The higher the number generally the more resistant to wear they are. AC4 would be classified as moderate commercial or higher residential use. For residential an AC3 or AC4 would be suitable for families with higher traffic levels."

Europe

"This is the symbol to indicate emission class. The emission classes denote the amount of formaldehyde released from wood-based materials. This distinction is made between classes E1, E2, and E3, with the class E1 having the lowest amount of emission."

"Classes are assigned based on testing. In this scenario, a test piece of wood is subjected to moving air kept at a constant temperature inside of a testing room. The amount of formaldehyde that is released is then measured and given a value in parts per million (ppm). This value must not exceed 0.1 ppm. Common laminate flooring contains such a small percentage of contaminants that they are generally labelled as ‘contaminant-free’."

E1: 9mg/100g and below

E2: greater than 9mg/100g to below 30mg/100g

E3: measuring a greater than 30mg/100g ratio.

"CARB stands for California Air Resources Board, also known as Air Resources Board (ARB). It is a department of the California Environmental Protection Agency."

"CARB Phase 1 and Phase 2 are a part of California’s Composite Wood Products Regulation (CWP Regulation), to reduce formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products, hardwood plywood, particleboard and medium density fiberboard (MDF). In the 2009 rollout of the CARB’s Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM), formaldehyde emissions were capped at .08 parts per million (ppm). CARB Phase 2 went into effect in 2010 and has much lower formaldehyde emissions than the previous phase; set at .05 ppm."

"The critical radiant flux of the flooring is determined by igniting it to see how far the flame spreads prior to self-extinguishing. The higher the number, the better the fire resistance. A Class 1 fire rating requires the number to be greater than 0.45 W/cm2."

This transparent layer is at the top. It provides resistance to scratches and stains and is easy to keep clean.

Wear layers range from 4 mil to 40 mil. Mil is an Imperial measurement meaning thousandths of an inch.

Within 3-5 days after the payment of your order is completed, it will be delivered according to the date and time you booked.

The (DELIVERY SERVICE PROVIDER) will send the customer, the night before the delivery, a text message to the cell phone number provided, with an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival).

Pallet: Check order status in My account > Purchases History > order, if your order already shipped, please contact SERVICE PROVIDER for further information.

For independent houses: In front of the garage or front door.

Condo/Apartment: Please confirm the location with a third-party shipping company before delivery.

In Store or Curbside Pickup

"Select location to check stock. Build your shopping cart and process checkout. In the delivery method section choose “Self Pickup”, then choose the location you want to pick up. After you finish your payment, you will get the confirmation email."

For flooring & pallet orders

CONDITIONS:

1. The order must be returned in its entirety, meaning every piece of the order that you received must be returned to Toucan Flooring. Partial refunds are not available for Flooring products or pallet orders.
2. You must request the return within a maximum of 60 days of the original delivery date of your order.
3. The product must be in its original packaging and in the same condition as when it was delivered. The product must not have been used, modified, installed or marked in any way.
4. The money back Guarantee does not apply to clearance items or Custom Orders.
5. Once we have received back the items and validated that the above conditions of the Guarantee have been satisfied, your refund will be processed.

RETURN FEES:

For Flooring and other Pallet orders, a 20% restocking fee + shipping costs associated to returning the goods will be deducted from the full refund amount. The pick-up and shipping to return your order will be organized by Onfloor and their service providers.
